The new year is full of 2023 flagship and budget smartphones from leading brands such as Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo and OnePlus. If you are planning to buy a new premium device, it is best to postpone the purchase for a couple of months, and get the best new generation smartphone, which is good value for money. In this article we will tell you what new items are waiting for us this year.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Series
The top smartphones of 2023 are opened by the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which will consist of at least three models – Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. All three options on the list are likely to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and also get an improved camera. Samsung’s 2023 smartphones – the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus – will feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screens with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The most expensive gadget in the Galaxy lineup (S23 Ultra) is expected to feature one of the best smartphone displays ever, featuring the latest LTPO technology and 2K resolution. The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus will have the same design as their predecessors, with a slight change in the camera module. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will likely be similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra and get a premium finish.
Motorola Moto X40
Among the new smartphones of 2023, the Moto X40 is one of the earliest. Its official premiere will take place on December 15th. This was announced by the head of the mobile division of Lenovo Chen Jin. The gadget will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This chipset is touted as being 46% more power efficient than its predecessor and also, on average, 35% more productive. The smartphone will measure 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm and weigh 196 grams. Judging by the photos from insiders, the phone is equipped with an OLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, curved on the sides and bottom. The display will also be equipped with a fingerprint scanner. The Motorola Moto X40 will come with a 50MP + 50MP + 12MP triple rear camera setup with optical zoom support. This zoom allows you to take good pictures, and the quality of the phone’s picture will allow you to enjoy various online entertainment, such as betting with 22Bet login.
Google Pixel Fold
This foldable smartphone has been in development for some time now and many believe the device will be released next year. According to a report from 9to5Google, the Pixel Fold may be called Pixel Notepad and comes with stylus support. Based on the leaked render images from Page Tech, the Pixel Fold could have a larger external display with a 9.5MP front camera.
IIIF150 Air1 Ultra
If you are considering which smartphone to buy in 2023, so that it is both affordable and not an outsider in terms of performance, then I recommend paying attention to the IIF150 Air1 Ultra. This secure, but very thin (9.55 mm) smartphone is equipped with a good MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 128/256 GB of flash memory, and an NFC module. The device operates in a wide temperature range (from -20 to +80 ° C), so it is perfect for a person who, on duty, visits the cold regions of Russia, and works in the very heat. The display is large – 6.78-inch, has a high FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also claims a 20MP night vision camera and 33W fast charging.
One Plus 11
One of the best smartphones of 2023, like most other top Android models, will be powered by the most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor to date. It may even come with a 144Hz 2K curved display and improved peak brightness. The OnePlus 11 is speculated to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that will run at QHD+ resolution. Under the hood of the novelty will be a 5000 mAh battery, similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro. An improvement over the 10 should be support for 100W fast charging, which will help charge the battery faster than an 80W charger. In terms of photography, rumors claim that the OnePlus 11 will feature a multi-lens rear camera setup, including a 50MP main camera, a 48MP sensor, and a 32MP 2x telephoto lens. On the front we will see a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The company is said to be skipping the Pro model this time around, and the OnePlus 11 could be the brand’s only model to be announced next year.
Infinix Note 13 Pro
Sony, Motorola, Apple, Huawei and other major manufacturers can produce high-quality, premium models that cost like a small airplane wing. But the most anticipated smartphones of 2023 are those produced by the not yet very popular, but already recognizable Hong Kong brand Infinix, which is part of the Transsion Holdings concern (which also owns the TECNO brand). And the upcoming Infinix Note 13 Pro, which made it into my 2023 smartphone roundup, is just a great phone for those looking for a budget-friendly option without compromising on features. It will get a large 6.95-inch display and 128 GB of internal memory, which is enough for most users. The main camera will be triple, and the battery life is quite decent – more than 12 hours without recharging. The price of the novelty will not be too high, given that the already on sale 12 Pro is included in the budget price category.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Max
If you were looking for the Redmi model in the article, which smartphones will be released in 2023, then here it is. This is one of the phones with support for 5G networks, although the issue of supporting these networks in Russia is still open. It has a large 6.67-inch display, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, and supports up to 12GB of RAM. And the big 4500 mAh battery won’t make you choose whether you want to watch a YouTube video, play a game or stay connected until the evening without the need for recharging. The phone runs on the Xiaomi MIUI 12 operating system. Redmi Note 13 Pro Max 5G will also receive an under-screen fingerprint sensor, fast charging, and possibly wireless charging.
Oppo Find X6 Pro
The Oppo Find X series of flagship smartphones is known for its premium design, high-tech hardware, and super-fast charging, and the Oppo Find X6 Pro is no exception. The company has already confirmed that the Oppo Find X6 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device will offer users at least 8/128 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and the most productive storage solution – UFS 4.0. Oppo Find X6 Pro will ship with Android 13 OS and custom ColorOS 13 skin on top. It is expected to support wired charging at 150W or even faster, and the brand will likely include a fast charging adapter in the box.
But the main advantage of the Oppo Find X6 Pro will be the camera with a huge one-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. Compared to the main camera sensor of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the Sony IMX989 has a 172% larger light sensitive area and a 32.5% faster shutter speed. And to finally lure mobile photography enthusiasts, Oppo will equip its brand new device with a 6nm Mariana MariSilicon X chip of its own design for 20-bit image processing. If everything stated is presented in the release, then the Find X6 Pro will compete with the Sony Xperia ZOOM 2023 and other new top-level camera phones.
Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro
When you look at this ranking of smartphones in 2023, the release of Xiaomi 13 and Pro version has most likely taken place. It was scheduled for December 11th. But since Chinese devices enter the world market later than they satisfy the demand of buyers in the Celestial Empire, it is not worth waiting for these new items in Russia in December, it is too early. The smartphones are based on the SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and as a result of Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica, they will have a Leica-based camera. These cameras are renowned for their true-to-life colors and contrast, so you can expect high-quality stills and videos, with the latter coming in 8K resolution. It also promises optical image stabilization. Also, Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will have the fastest hand in the Wild West… that is, the fastest memory for today – LPDDR5X at 8533 Mbps and UFS 4.0 flash memory. According to official teasers, Xiaomi 13 will have a flat 6.36-inch display with narrow bezels on all four sides. The smartphone will have a triple rear camera setup with a dedicated telephoto lens and an ultra wide-angle lens. Xiaomi 13 Pro is likely to have a larger display and a larger battery compared to the regular variant. Xiaomi 13 (8/128 GB) will cost 4300 yuan or $615. The pro version will cost at least $755.
Apple iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro
What is a review of the expected new smartphones in 2023 without iPhones. One wonders if these models can break the 2021 record, when sales topped $15.5 million in one second on the JD.com platform. According to insiders, the iPhone 15 Pro will be the first iPhone with a USB Type-C port with increased data transfer speed. Similarly, the 15 Pro is expected to get features like a periscope zoom lens on an iPhone for the first time and will be powered by an A17 Bionic processor with 6/8GB of RAM. It will also offer a wide choice of built-in memory – 128, 256, 512 and 1 TB. The base iPhone 15 is likely to get a 120Hz OLED display with a dynamic island. The iPhone 15 will have a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus will have a larger 6.7-inch display. As for the cameras, there will most likely be 2: a 48-megapixel main and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Interestingly, due to riots at the Foxconn factory (iPhones are assembled there), this site may lose its status as an exclusive assembler of the iPhone 15 Pro. This was announced by Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. So the number of Chinese Apple partners may increase.
